Just a few little things I've managed to do in what seems like forever....All custom Baby Deadbeets from October Toys. First up is a little seated beet....
......next are a couple of troublesome beets known as 'The Daikon Twins'....

Here's a little something for a little something I've been working on......So....this l'il fella is called 'Frigg', he even comes complete with a bit of history.....
Frigg was one half of the double act Pascoe And Wise (Otus
being the other half), a clown high wire duo at Bombast Furioso's
Palace Of Wonders. When The Palace Of Wonders fell into decline he took
up with Caytano

I made a couple of these guys for my son and one of his friends from some bits of a tree we felled in the garden.....

This l'il fella is one of my favourites from the October Toys OMFG! Series 1 set.....I did a little chopping and changing with this one and also added a little accessory....

A while ago I picked up a l'il resin robot designed by Smash Tokyo Toys and cast by Halfbad. The original was a clear resin with multicoloured glitter. I didn't plan on customising it in any way as I kinda liked it how it was but eventually I decided on this repaint mostly because all the detail was lost in the clear resin......soooooooo.......

So I've tweaked the tongue a little to give it some more definition and added some bits/chunks that he would have licked up during fights....

So this is the first version of Lick-Or being submitted for October Toys OMFG! Series 2.....
.......I may still make some changes to the tongue.....I think I'll try adding some food remnants and maybe some drool.Jimmy Foohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01891864385151296019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2531303449223136664.post-74372341781867892662012-01-18T16:10:00.000+00:002012-01-18T16:10:44.470+00:00Bernice Zerm - Custom Retardy Dunce *Update*
At last.....an update for this custom.....it's been slow starting with lots of changes but I now have a solid feel for what this will eventually look like.....

Here's a little sneaky peek at something I'm putting together as a gift for some collectors.....

I finally found the little Ace head from Smash Tokyo Toys I was given....a looooong time ago, which kind of got displaced for a while after our house move......so I made this lil fella with it.......SquidAce...
....I just used the head as it came with no finishing so it still has that grainy texture from rapid prototyping which I kind of matched with the Aves Apoxie.

I picked up a spare orange Petit Astrolapin with the intention of stripping it back to white like the original 1/6th Astrolapin by Mr Clement. It turned out somewhat different....I continued the '2001 A Space Odyssey' theme instead....

First here's a shot of the figure in it's original form......
And this is the first stage of reconstruction......
And the backstory for this custom:
Bernice Zerm started out as the sawdust sweeper at Bombast Furioso's Palace Of Wonders. Series 1You might remember a previous post about a little sculpt I did (Monowheeled Mecha Monkey) for a possible mini figure series. Well....unfortunately Mecha Monkey wasn't chosen for the first series but there are five superb designs that will hopefully make it to production. There is a Kickstarter project up and running to get series 1 off the ground, which is doing incredibly well and I urge Jimmy Foohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01891864385151296019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2531303449223136664.post-24274591361401230962011-05-16T13:08:00.000+01:002011-05-16T13:08:31.114+01:00More BonesuckerJimmy Foohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01891864385151296019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2531303449223136664.post-72791939898548274082011-05-15T09:30:00.000+01:002011-05-15T09:30:01.394+01:00Bonesucker.......the lowdown...
These are now ready and up in my store. And here is their background story and some additional info not mentioned before...
These guys are called Bonesuckers....for the very obvious reason that they like to sit around sucking on bones. They're at the bottom of the food chain and the last of the scavengers to move in on a carcass, and there they'll sit in a little huddle Jimmy Foohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01891864385151296019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2531303449223136664.post-375483520284877032011-05-15T09:22:00.000+01:002011-05-15T09:22:37.309+01:00Bonesucker updateHere's some close-ups.....
